House on Hour's Lane Cover

It's the cover to a novel I plan to publish. It's not an official cover, just one for my fans until I decide to put it out. I'm going as Adrienne Kane for now as an ode to my novels Scattered Mist and Level 28.

PLOT SUMMARY:
When witty but manipulative millionaire Nathan Cole decides to fake his own death, he soon realizes his plans have gone horribly awry and he’s inadvertently killed the only woman who’d ever loved him. Faced with guilt for the first time, he travels the world looking for an escape from his conscience only to end up in a small town in central England, 1963. There, he becomes fixated on an old wooden house completely engulfed by nature and lies. Unaware of the town’s superstitions and even deadlier history, he [stupidly] buys the house under an assumed name and prepares to live out his second chance. That’s when he meets Audrey, the last survivor of the Lane’s founding family and an intellectual, though slightly insane, adversary determined to keep the world from her door. It’s not long before he realizes she’s his last chance to repent and his only reason for staying. Fighting off mysterious diseases, lust, curses, beatings, jail, pregnancy, and their own inner demons, the two finally discover the secret behind the 200-year-old murder that ignited “the curse” and must now defend their right to ironically outlive the ending of their very making.

I began writing this novel when I was 13 years old but only recently finished it at age 17 when life forced me to realize I was setting up my own obstacles and they were being funneled into my writing. The House on Hour’s Lane deals with various aspects of my own life, my fears, and my views on the deadliness of intelligence on the soul as well as the fog that love creates on those unwilling to admit to reality.
